SBN 2 EYEWITNESS NEWS - SEASON III
TUESDAY DECEMBER 4,2007

SBN 2 Eyewitness News Season III will be the third & final season of SBN 2 Eyewitness News.It will begin in April 2008,with new personalities,new sets,graphics & music.The broadcasts will be much shorter & a broadcast will be guaranteed to be released every month.They will each only be about 20 minutes in length.

WHAT IS NEW IN SEASON III:
- High Definition & Widescreen broadcasts.All broadcasts will now be in a 16:9 widescreened compressed High Definition resolution.

- The city's skyline has changed.The Rockville World Trade Center is no longer the tallest building in the city! The Lewald Spire is now the tallest building & is located in Midtown.

- Complete new building & studio complex for SBN 2.There will be a new studio & building built during the winter months for SBN 2.All sets will be rebuilt from the ground up and redesigned!

- New Broadcast Titles:
Eyewitness News - Daybreak
Eyewitness News - This Afternoon
Eyewitness News - This Evening
Eyewitness News - Tonight

- Faster paced broadcasts,the broadcasts will feature a lot of content,however it will be fast paced.Stories will be shortened.The newscasts are geared to be only about 30 minutes in length.

- Accu-Weather Maps will now be available.Michael Fields & Steven Roberts will finally be able to show you maps of Rockville City & the Metropolitan Area with temperatures.There will no longer be 1 minute Accu-Weather musical forecasts,the forecasts will be significantly shorter.

- SBN 2 will finally cover SPORTS! SBN 2 will cover the major sports stories & events the US.Since there aren't any sports in The Sims 2,the sports stories will be limited to real-life stories.

- No more international & local news segments.SBN 2 will present the stories all in one 15 minute block.

- There will be a new Gaming block in the newscasts which will feature the latest news about games & upcoming anticipated gaming titles.

- There will also be a new Machinima block,in which SBN 2 will cover the latest in great machinima movies created with The Sims 2.

The broadcasts once again take place in an all new updated Rockville Metropolitan Area.There will be approximately 5 full broadcasts & about 5 briefings which will ultimately lead up to the final 30th broadcast which will air towards the end of the year.Stay tuned for more information.

SBN 2 TO BE FEATURED ON "TURBULENCE"
SATURDAY MARCH 15,2008

SBN 2 will be teaming up with Jpro07 in the coming months to work on a new intriguing series titled Turbulence.The movie will be released in a set of several parts.The movie will be designed with The Sims 2 PC Game.Jpro07(John)is an outstanding machinima film director & creator as he has created several outstanding works of art for us to watch! & SBN 2 is really honored to be working with someone who is extremely professional @ what he does.To get an idea of the type of movies he creates,log on to simspremiere.com/jpro.There you will see some of his outstanding music videos.SBN 2,will be featured in his new series called Turbulence which will debut in April 2008.The stories that SBN 2 will cover in the Turbulence series will actually coincide with Season III of SBN 2 EYEWITNESS NEWS,in May 2008.Several notable SBN 2 voice actors will be featured in Turbulence.

SBN 2 EYEWITNESS NEWS HD AT 6:00PM - ANNOUNCEMENT
SUNDAY MAY 4, 2008

Its been a while since I've updated everyone on the status of SBN 2. Here is how everything is shaping up. SBN 2 EYEWITNESS NEWS HD at 6:00PM will be the first High Definition broadcast of SBN 2. The station will now be branded as SBN 2 HD. It will also be the very first broadcast of Season III. It will however be the 22nd broadcast of SBN 2 since its debut back in 2005. The broadcast will be released some time by the end of June 2008. It will be the first in a series of "tentative" monthly broadcasts to be released. The last time we've seen monthly broadcast releases was back in 2005. I've delayed the newscast several times simply because of scripting issues and even other issues interfering with the time needed to spend on developing the newscast.

As many people know the switch from SD to HD is quite a time consuming task, because everything has to be built from the ground up again. The SBN 2 building and set has been demolished and is still under construction and being rebuilt from the ground up as we speak. The current graphics had to be converted into HD and there is still a lot more to do. Graphics are about only 40% complete. Talent opens have to be redone in After Effects, the major voice actors have yet to be contacted in effort to see if they can reprise their roles for the third and final season of SBN 2. Not to mention the actual scripting that has yet to be complete for the next three broadcasts (6PM, 11PM, and NOON). To release the newscasts on time they have to be written in a news format and well thought out. Which is why I'm open to any ideas that are accomplishable in The Sims 2.

I'm also working on building a brand new powerful computer. That new Intel Core 2 Quad based PC, (Quad core CPU), will come into play on the editing phase of the broadcasts. A faster computer means quicker and better newscasts and also more fun :p in editing. And faster editing times. This computer is expected to be finished by early June, and by then, I will immediately begin to utilize it for video capturing and begin working and editing the actual broadcast.

The script for SBN 2 HD at 6:00PM should be complete by the end of next week by which I'll then begin a casting call for the lead roles in which the characters did not want to reprise, I will also cast new members for several new recurring prominent roles and characters in the series including:

Police Commissioner: Andrew Lane
District Attorney: Tanya Yates
Daniel Lowe: Rockville Real Estate
Ashton Ford: Rockville's Newly Elected Mayor

The next broadcast will focus primarily on the major world and national news stories that took place during the months of April and May 2008. The broadcast will have carry a Friday June 20th airdate with news from the month of June in Rockville. The broadcast will also focus on the newly built metropolitan area, and update viewers on how the area has changed significantly since the latest newscast (October 2007).

Also in effort to mark the third and final season of SBN 2, the website will once again be redesigned. This time the website will feature more special effects and feel more like a "news station" website. More to come as well.

All posts to the movie announcement section now require admin approval prior to being posted. The movie announcements are for SBN 2 Viewers who decide to embark on their own creations. They are not intended for spam, or any other sort of use. This is not a forum for fictional or fantasy stations and unfortunately a few of our members seem to misunderstand that and constantly keep posting these fantasy station posts up

I've already deleted several of these posts already. Please do not post topics like this on this forum this is not the forum for that. Appropriate action will be taken against those who keep on posting these, up to including permanently banning them and refraining them from accessing SBN 2 and its media, should this continue

We're trying to keep the forum as clean as possible. Also in effort to keep the forums flowing fast and clean, all older posts will be deleted if no progress has been made in the announced movies. So if you see your post deleted simply repost it again. Thanks
